Larry Barnes

I have worked at Gustavus for the last 35 years. Troy and Tara and Andy graduated from here. I will be married to Larry Barnes for 51 years this last June. I really enjoy being a grandma, but still work four days a week, 6 hours a day and don't plan on retiring for a couple of years yet, I really like what I do and like the people I work with. Larry has been retired since he was 62, and will be 73 on February 8th, 2021. Now that Troy has moved, we hope to go visit them real soon. We are thinking Christmas, 21. Tara and Andy will be down there in their time share and are only 2 1/2 hours away from Troy. They usually spend the month of January in Florida.
We did get to go see Troy and family in Florida this year, 2022. We drove down and spent 14 days there. Tara and Andy and kids were also at their time share in Kissimmee, Florida. We all got together at Troy's and celebrated Christmas '22. Troy's family hadn't met Cooper yet, so that was really fun, and the boys who are 6 and 8 now really had fun playing with Phoebe. It was real hard to come back to work, yes I am still working. I love my job of 35 years and I love the people I work with. I said I would stay until I was 75. My Mom worked until she was 75. I will only have two years to go after my birthday in August.
