Ann Patricia (Kenward) Swenson

Ann Patricia (Kenward) Swenson, age 76, of Raleigh, NC, was tragically taken from us unexpectedly on Dec 12, 2025. She was born Aug 13,1949 in Mankato, MN. She graduated from Mankato High in 1967 and attended Lutheran Deaconess School of Nursing in Minneapolis, graduating 1971. Ann married Don Swenson in 1975, and after several moves, they eventually settled in Raleigh.

Ann spent her career as a labor and delivery Nurse which was the passion of her heart. She was a dog-lover, flower gardener, and a simple giver of herself to others.

She was a devoted wife to Don and a caring sister to four siblings. She was a baptized child of God and a member of Kirk of Kildare Presbyterian Church of Cary, NC.

Ann is survived by her husband Don and his daughter Sherri (Bob) Swenson Tibbett and Sherri's daughter, Christa Sadler; four siblings - Robert (Ann) of Owatonna, MN; Todd (Kathy) of Mankato, MN; Mary (Steve) Kosberg of Mankato, MN; and Barb (Bob) Rolfes of St. Paul, MN; 10 nieces and nephews; and many grand-nieces and nephews, dog Quincy, loads of special friends and nursing cohorts.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Helen Kenward of Mankato.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, Feb 2, 2026 at 2:00 PM at Hosanna Lutheran Church of Mankato, with a visitation one hour before the service. Light refreshments will be served following the service. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to a charity of donor's choice in honor of Ann.
