William Reintjes

William A. Reintjes, age 62 of Waterville died on Friday, August 5, 2011 at Central Health Care Center in Le Center.

Born on August 5, 1949 in Mankato, Minnesota he was the son of Charles and Irene (Louis) Reintjes. He graduated from Mankato High School in 1967. William served in the US Army as an MP in Japan and Okinawa. Following his honorable discharge, he returned to Mankato where he worked for the Mankato Fire Department and later worked as a State Fire Marshall until retiring in 2004. William enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a member of Pheasants Forever, Ducks Unlimited, and the NRA.

He is survived by one brother, Chuck Reintjes of Waterville; one aunt, Sally Reintjes of Madison Lake; one uncle, Cyril Fasnacht of Mankato; and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, August 9, 2011 at 10:00 AM at Marysburg Catholic Cemetery in rural Madison Lake with Rev. Dennis Backer officiating. Military Honors will be provided by American Legion Post 269 of Madison Lake
